الدكتور محمد الجابري هو أستاذ مشارك في قسم الإرشاد والتربية الخاصة في الجامعة الأردنية، ويُعد من الأكاديميين في العالم العربي في مجالات التربية الخاصة، اضطرابات طيف التوحد، الإعاقات النمائية، والتدخل المبكر، وذلك بفضل خبرة تمتد لأكثر من عشرين عامًا في العمل الأكاديمي والبحثي والميداني.
حصل الدكتور الجابري على درجة الدكتوراه في التربية الخاصة من جامعة وين ستيت (Wayne State University) في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، بعد أن نال درجتي البكالوريوس والماجستير في التربية الخاصة من الجامعة الأردنية. وتمثل مسيرته الأكاديمية مزيجًا فريدًا من الخبرة العالمية والفهم المحلي، انعكس في أعماله ذات التأثير في مجالات التعليم والتدريب وتنمية الوعي في المجتمع المحلي.
الدكتور الجابري عضو أساسي في مجموعة الرعاية الصحية المبنية على الأدلة في الجامعة الأردنية (Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis: Joanna Briggs' Methodology)، ويتعاون مع معهد جوانا بريغز في دعم الممارسات العالمية المبنية على الأدلة باعتباره عضوا أساسيا في (JBI The University of Jordan Health Research Centre ). نشر العديد من المقالات العلمية، والفصول في الكتب، والأدلة التدريبية باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية، وتُستخدم أعماله على نطاق واسع في الأوساط الأكاديمية والميدانية.
تركز أبحاثه على عدة محاور مترابطة، منها:
- التخطيط لبرامج الدامجة الناجحة للطلبة ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد.
- المراجعات المهنجية (Systematic Literature Reviews) وفقا لمنهجية جوانا بريغز (Joanna Brigg's Methodology).
- الكفاءة المهنية في الممارسات المبنية على الأدلة (Evidence Based Practices) في تدريس الطلبة ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد والاعاقة الذهنية.
- تدريب المعلمين ومقدمي الرعاية على توظيف الممارسات المبنية على الأدلة في البيئات الدامجة والمتخصصة.
- تصميم وتقييم برامج الدمج المستدامة للطلبة ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد و الاعاقة الذهنية.
- التمكين الأسري لأسر الأطفال ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد و الأعاقة الذهنية.
- التأثيرات النفسية والتعليمية للأمراض الصحية المزمنة (كالسكري) والإعاقات النمائية على الأطفال وأسرهم.
إلى جانب إنجازاته الأكاديمية، ساهم الدكتور الجابري في مشاريع وطنية وإقليمية تهدف إلى تنمية الوعي بضرورة التمكين المجتمعي المستدام و تحسين الخدمات المقدمة للأطفال ذوي الإعاقة بشكل عام و الأطفال ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد و الاعاقة الذهنية ، والدفاع عن حقوقهم، وبناء قدرات المهنيين في الأردن والمنطقة. ويكرّس جهوده لتغيير النظرة المجتمعية تجاه التوحد والإعاقات النمائية، مؤكدًا على الكرامة والاحترام والدعم الفردي.
الدكتور الجابري يقيم حاليًا في عمان، الأردن، وهو متزوج من الأستاذة الدكتورة ديانا عربيّات، أستاذة التمريض في الجامعة الأردنية. ولهما ثلاثة أبناء: فادي، فارس، ويارا. ويعكس التزامه بالتعليم الدامج اهتمامًا عميقًا بالأسرة والمجتمع والسعي نحو العدالة التعليمية لجميع الأطفال.
Dr. Mohammad AL Jabery is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling and Special Education at the University of Jordan. He is recognized as one of the leading academics in the Arab world in the fields of special education, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and early intervention, with more than two decades of academic, research, and field experience.
Dr. Al Jabery earned his Ph.D. in Special Education from Wayne State University (USA), after completing both his B.A. and M.A. in Special Education at the University of Jordan. His academic journey represents a unique blend of global expertise and local understanding, reflected in his influential contributions to education, training, and community awareness.
He is a core member of the Evidence-Based Healthcare Group at the University of Jordan (Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis: Joanna Briggs' Methodology), and collaborates with the Joanna Briggs Institute a core staff of its global network collaboration, supporting the advancement of evidence-based practices worldwide.
Dr. AL Jabery has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and training manuals in both Arabic and English. His work is widely utilized across academic, professional, and community contexts.
His research focuses on several interrelated areas, including:
- Planning and implementing successful inclusive programs for students with autism spectrum disorders.
- Conducting systematic literature reviews following the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology.
- Professional competence in evidence-based practices for teaching students with autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities.
- Training teachers and caregivers to apply evidence-based practices in inclusive and specialized settings.
- Designing and evaluating sustainable inclusion programs for students with autism and intellectual disabilities.
- Family empowerment for parents of children with autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities.
- The psychological and educational impacts of chronic health conditions (such as diabetes) and developmental disabilities on children and their families.
In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. AL Jabery has played an active role in national and regional projects aimed at raising awareness about sustainable community-based empowerment, improving services for children with disabilities—particularly those with autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities—advocating for their rights, and building professional capacity in Jordan and the Arab region.
He is currently dedicated to changing societal perceptions of autism and developmental disabilities, with a focus on dignity, respect, and individualized support.
Dr. AL Jabery resides in Amman, Jordan, with his wife, Professor Diana Arabiat, a professor of nursing at the University of Jordan. They have three children—Fadi, Fares, and Yarra. His commitment to inclusive education reflects his deep engagement with family, community, and the pursuit of educational justice for all children.
